Description

Here's a drawing I did while I was at residential camp two weeks ago (Sunday, August 14th - Friday, August 19th). It's the fifth edition, and fourth re-draw of my ever first Sailor Moon fanart piece to be submitted in my deviantART gallery. :aww: I brought along the Mixx/Tokyopop version of Volume 1 of the Sailor Moon Manga (that's the only volume of the series that I own from the Mixx/Tokyopop english text version, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting & reading the brand new, upcoming 2011 re-printed version by Kodansha) with me on my trip, so I could have references for what I wanted to draw while in the cabin, during the 1-hour breaks from activity & before bedtime. :)

Also while I was away, I even drew two more linearts, that I plan to continue, finish & submit anytime soon or later... one for a summer-themed picture of Hanon Hosho from "Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch" wearing a cute two-piece swimsuit, and another of Minako/Mina Aino as Sailor V (in honor of the upcoming, very first english text version of the "Codename: Sailor V" manga series, and since that's actually set to be released on September 13, 2011, I actually plan to finish & submit during that time, though at least sometime during the month of September).

I'm very proud & happy with how this turned out, and I definitely prefer this version over the three previous 2010, 2009, and 2008 re-draws, as well as the 2007 original, especially with the way I've detailed the skirt & collar with such vivid colors, as seen in the Manga version of her "Super" fuku; [link] and I always loved that version, as well. It also appears that I've drawn the wings on her brooch a bit more manga-like, considering how long they look in this picture compared to their actual design, in I actually like, and however, I've noticed that her head & neck seem to look slightly tilted in this version, in which I apologize for, but that personally doesn't stop me from being pleased with the finished result of this artpiece ^_^

I hope that you'll enjoy this, my dear friends!

Drawn on 11x8 1/2 sketchpad, with a No. 2 pencil (and in my own traditional art style), fixed, cleaned-up, colored & shaded by using Adobe Photodeluxe Home Edtion 3.0., and finalized on MS Paint (for thin boarder, colored polka-dots & artists' signature). The background was made and added on by using Adobe Photodeluxe Home Edition 3.0
